Is there any more entertaining way to mark the hour than with an old-fashioned cuckoo clock? American clockmaker River City combines the charm of the cuckoo with the fun of a modern electric melody wall clock.

This cuckoo is a lot more playful than the traditional version and would be an ideal gift for a young person. The brightly painted design features flowers and a swinging heart shaped pendulum. The chalet scene features a mountain dweller sounding his alpine horn in the company of his St. Bernard. Two authentic-looking brass pine cone weights hang below.

As expected a cuckoo bird appears to mark each hour with it’s refrain. Then a musical performance begins, featuring one of twelve (mostly appropriate) compositions:

My clock cuckoo’s at about 25 after the hour. How can I get it to go back to cuckooing on the hour? It is battery operated Kassel.

I took out the batteries but that didn’t work.

Tried adjusting time time by going back and forth. But still the same result. Both the time and the Cuckoo mechanism are not getting synchronised. I’m from India. The clock was brought by my brother from Switzerland. We’re not very keen on showing the clock to the clock repair person here. But anyone in Mumbai who is aware of a competant repair person please let me know.

Clock has been stored some three years. It has a lever on the side which stops the cuckoo working but seem not to be able to activate the rest of the mechanics in side the clock (if that is what it is supposed to do as well)?

I really want a clock that makes a Chime or Cuckoo noise, but it would have to be battery or digital, anyone know where I could get one from?

If not, would anyone happen to know what they are called? Thankyou.

I can’t remember the name of the piece, but I do know at several times in the piece the whole band stopped and the clarinet played 2 notes that sounded like a cuckoo. Can anyone tell me the name of this piece? Thanks.
